27-year-old Fond du Lac man killed in crash on Tuesday

FOND DU LAC COUNTY (WITI) -- Fond du Lac County Sheriff's officials say a 27-year-old Fond du Lac man was killed in a crash on Tuesday, December 17th on State Highway 44 north of Fletcher Road in the Town of Rosendale.

The preliminary investigation indicates a northbound car, operated by the Fond du Lac man, lost control on snow covered pavement and crossed the centerline, striking a southbound semi, operated by 49-year-old Larry Linder of Shawano.

Linder was not injured. The identity of the man killed has not yet been released.

Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Deputies, Wisconsin State Patrol, Town of Ripon PD, Winnebago Co Sheriff’s Deputies, Rosendale Fire and First Responders and Ripon EMS responded to this incident.

This is the eighth traffic fatality in 2013 in Fond du Lac County.
