24-year-old man arrested for fourth OWI

MILWAUKEE -- A 24-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday morning for his fourth OWI.

A Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy on patrol stopped 24-year-old Mario Cruz Espino's vehicle, speeding at 80 miles-per-hour in a 65 mile-per-hour zone on southbound I-94 at Puetz Road around 2:15 a.m.

Deputies were unable to obtain a preliminary blood test, and Cruz Espino was transported to Froedtert Hospital for a blood draw.

Cruz Espino's previous OWI convictions occurred in July 2006, April 2007 and July 2008.

Cruz Espino faces a felony charge of OWI-Fourth within five years, which carries a penalty of up to six years in jail. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of Operating After Revocation, and received a citation for speeding 11-15 miles-per-hour above the limit.
