WAUKESHA COUNTY -- A 20-year-old Nashotah man is charged, accused of sexually assaulting two 13-year-old girls he coached at his home.
Nicholas Frede
Nicholas Frede faces two counts of second degree sexual assault of a child.
According to officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, Frede was arrested Sunday, July 10th after a report of the sexual assault of a child in the Village of Nashotah came into officials on Friday, July 8th.
Through an investigation, officials determined there were two 13-year-old female victims in this case.
Sheriff's officials say Frede has coached in the past at local basketball camps and has given private basketball lessons through a Wisconsin network of home schooled children.
He was hired to coach the two victims in a private basketball lesson at his residence in the Village of Nashotah since May. He is accused of touching both girls inappropriately during stretching exercises.
"The girls and the coach are part of a home schooling network in which they have their own sporting network. They have known him through the basketball circles in their area," Phil Carini with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department said.
Frede made his initial appearance in court in this case on Monday, July 11th. Cash bond was set at $2,500. He was ordered to have no unsupervised contact with any minor children under the age of 18, and cannot use any device capable of accessing the internet.
He will next be in court on August 18th for his preliminary hearing.
