1898: University Club unveils members-only restaurant & lounge

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The University Club in Milwaukee unveiled its members-only restaurant and lounge on Tuesday, March 10th.

It is called "1898."

The renovations are a modern take on 1920s Hollywood glamour.

The name "1898" references the year the University Club was founded in Milwaukee.

So far, the club has invested $2 million into renovations.

1898 is the first step in a plan to revamp the building. The University Club's first floor will soon see a similar redesign, with work continuing on its overnight rooms and sixth floor.
