16th St. Viaduct reopened, bag found posed no threat
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police have reopened the 16th St. Viaduct in the city's Menomonee Valley.
It was shut down shortly after 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17th because a passerby driving on Bruce St. underneath the viaduct spotted a black duffel bag near the roadway. The driver thought it was suspicious and reported it to police.
Milwaukee police responded to the scene but determined the duffel bag did not pose any threat to people.
Crews have since cleared the scene -- and the incident was wrapped up around 3:45 p.m.
