Some of Milwaukee's top chefs are teaming up to help homeless veterans



MILWAUKEE -- Some of Milwaukee's top chefs are teaming up to help homeless veterans. Kirsten Sobieski, the executive director of the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative, and Chef Aaron Patin, the owner of Iron Grate BBQ Company, joins FOX6 WakeUp to tell us about the company.

Milwaukee Chefs for Homeless Vets will take place Monday night, May 23rd, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Merriment Social in downtown Milwaukee.

Original dishes to be served at the Milwaukee benefit include re-imagined takes on Waffle House classics such as “Scattered, Smothered, Covered Hash Browns,” “Pecan Waffle” and “Texas Patty Melt.”

The event will include a Silent Auction (6:30-8:45 pm) and Honor Guard procession.
