Runners take part in Polar Bear Dash at Grant Park

SOUTH MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- You're encouraged to start your New Year off on the right foot by taking part in the Polar Bear Dash. That's where Real Milwaukee sent Chip Brewster on Wednesday, January 1st.

The Dash is a 5K race on New Year's Day at Grant Park in South Milwaukee. And at the end of the race, there's an optional polar dip into Lake Michigan. There will be a special award to the first few runners who take the dare into the lake immediately after the race.
