Chip hangs at Pere Marquette Park to get a preview of Oktoberfest.  All guests at Oktoberfest must be 21 or accompanied by an adult. All guests over 21 will be issued a wristband. Up to 3 minors per adult.

Friday, October 3

Noon - Opening Ceremonies
Keg Tapping with Mayor Tom Barrett
In keeping with the traditions of the Munich Oktoberfest, No beer will be served until the first official keg has been tapped by the Lord Mayor. Those lucky enough to be on hand for the ceremony receive a free beer from the first keg Tapped by Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett—Free beer while it lasts.

7:00 pm - Masskrugstemmen

What?  maahs-kroog-stem-en translates to Stein Holding. This Bavarian strength  and endurance competition tests to see who can stand up,  arm extended straight out, with a full 1 liter glass stein in hand (approx. 5lbs) for the longest.  The best time from the competition will be recorded as a qualifier for the US National Championship at New York City’s Steuben Parade in September 2015. $20 Entry Includes HB Masskrug (1 Liter Mug) filled with beer. Must be 21 or Older/Limited to 20 Paid Entries Each Day.

Saturday, October 4
3:00 pm - Team Bratwurst Eating Relay
The Brat Eating Relay will consist of 2 Heats of (4) 4-person teams. The two winning teams will settle the score with a final relay. Each Team member must eat 1 bratwurst on a bun and then tag of to the next team member. $10 Team Entry / Limited to 8 Teams

11:00 am - Harvest Polka Mass with Father Mike Hammer

Join us in Peck Pavilion for a full polka mass in celebration of the Fall harvest. Music for the service will be provided by The Mike Schneider Band and the services will be led by Father Mike Hammer
