SOUTH MILWAUKEE -- There was a large police presence on Monday night, May 16th near 13th and Madison in South Milwaukee.
The South Milwaukee Fire Department tells FOX6 News they were notified of gunshots fired inside a residence shortly after 8:00 p.m.
The caller reported hearing gunshots and a woman and child screaming inside the home. Neighbors also reported hearing a noise similar to gunshots in the area.
The South Shore Joint Tactical Unit responded and found the residence to be empty.
The resident of the home was later spoken to, in person, by Milwaukee police. She was found to be fine and reported no shooting took place in her home.
