Two people shot, one killed near 24th and Center

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say two people were shot near 24th and Center on the city's north side. One of them died.

It happened just before 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 7th.

Police say a suspect shot toward a group of people standing on a street corner.

Police say a 29-year-old Milwaukee woman driving a vehicle stopped at the intersection and was shot. She died at the scene.

An 18-year-old Milwaukee man sustained non life-threatening injuries due to a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital.

No one is in custody.
