Two injured following two-vehicle crash on STH 11 and Hwy J in Town of Burlington

RACINE COUNTY -- Two people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle crash that occurred Monday afternoon, November 16th on STH 11 and Hwy J in the Town of Burlington.

The Racine County Communications Center received a call from a witness around 1:23 p.m. The crash was reported to involve a grain truck and trailer and a pick up truck.

When deputies arrived on scene, they found the operators of both vehicles to be injured and one party trapped.  Fire and rescue units arrived and found the operator of the pick up truck to have serious injuries.

The operator was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Kansasville Fire where he was transported by Flight for Life helicopter to Froedtert Hospital.  The operator of the grain truck was transported to Froedtert hospital by ambulance.

Initial investigation showed that the pick up truck was southbound on Hwy J when it failed to stop at the stop sign at STH 11 driving into the path of the grain truck and trailer which was eastbound on STH 11.
