SHOREWOOD -- Shorewood police are seeking a suspect after a female victim was sexually assaulted on Wednesday night, May 25th.
It happened around 9:30 p.m. near East Wood Place and North Downer Avenue.
Police say the victim was walking on a sidewalk when she passed the suspect -- who turned around and told the victim to sit down on the ground.
The suspect then grabbed the victim by the wrist and had the victim sit in the grassy area near the curb.
As the suspect began to touch the victim -- the victim struck him in the face, and he then ran from the area.
The suspect is described as light-skinned biracial male between the ages of 17 and 25, standing 5’07”-5’10," weighing 170lbs-180lbs, with short Afro-style curly hair. He was last seen wearing long, loose-fitting dark or khaki colored cargo shorts, a dark-colored baggy T-shirt, and black rectangular frame glasses.
