RACINE COUNTY (WITI) -- 50-year-old Ronald Niehus has been sentenced in connection to a child sexual assault case.
According to a criminal complaint, back in March of 2014, a Racine County detective found an internet posting on Craigslist from Niehus in the personals section -- along with the message "the younger the better and curious guys welcome."
The detective messaged Niehus pretending to be a 15-year-old boy and arranged a meeting.
Niehus was arrested upon meeting with who he though was the minor.
Niehus was sentenced on Friday, February 6th, to 5 years in prison and 5 years of extended supervision.
Niehus will have to register as a sex offender and will undergo counseling/treatment.
