Seeking talented young people: "Kids from Wisconsin" holding auditions this weekend!

MILWAUKEE -- The "Kids from Wisconsin" will be holding auditions for their 48th season this weekend!

Auditions will be held across the state this weekend, February 26th through the 28th in Eau Claire, Wisconsin Rapids, Monona and Milwaukee.

"Kids from Wisconsin" officials are looking for 20 singer/danger positions and 13 instrumentalists for the iconic show troupe.

Applicants must be 15-20 years of age and able to travel and perform this summer.

Room and board and per-diem will be provided along with an excellent performing experience.

Online applications had to be be turned in by February 19th to be assured an audition slot.

33 chosen performers will learn a fully-staged, Broadway-style production and travel across the state performing to over 120,000 people in the summer of 2016.  The summer-long tour will be a performance experience unlike any other.

The Kids from Wisconsin is part of an entertainment tradition that goes back nearly 50 years to its beginnings as a musical production created for Wisconsin's talented youth in 1969. Today, the pride and passion that enlightened that early music, lives on through a Kids from Wisconsin performance.
