WEST ALLIS -- West Allis police officials investigated a crash that involved a U.S. Postal truck that occurred Monday, May 21st just before 10:00 a.m. near National Ave. and 102nd Street.
Police say a vehicle, operated by an 84-year-old female traveling westbound on W. National Ave. disregarded the red traffic control light at S. 102nd St., and struck the postal truck traveling northbound on S. 102nd St.
The 61-year-old-male United States Postal Carrier was ejected through an open door.
The postal carrier was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The 84-year-old female operator was cited for Disregarding a Traffic Control Signal/Red Light.
Alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
