MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police on Wednesday evening, June 18th were on the scene of two separate shooting incidents.
The first occurred near N. 38th and North Avenue around 6:20 p.m.
Police say a 27-year-old male convenience store employee was shot during an attempted robbery.
The 27-year-old sustained a serious injury.
Police say another employee returned fire, striking a 25-year-old man.
He was also seriously injured.
Police say the 25-year-old suspect is in custody, along with another 20-year-old man.
Police say investigators continue to conduct interviews on this incident.

The second shooting incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. near 15th and Hadley.
Police say a 32-year-old man showed up at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital.
Police say the shooting victim told them he was shot once in the knee after he was approached by someone who tried to rob him.
Police say the shooting victim was taken to the hospital by a friend.
No one is in custody.
