Police: Armed robbery suspects arrested within ten minutes of committing crime

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police arrested two 17-year-old boys within ten minutes of them allegedly committing an armed robbery near 6th and Keefe.

Police say the crime happened just after 11 p.m. on Friday, February 20th. The victim, a 38-year-old Milwaukee woman, told officers she was approached by two suspects who implied a weapon and stole money from her before they fled on foot. Just ten minutes later, officers saw two suspects matching the description of those involved in the crime -- and arrested them. Police say one of the suspects still had the stolen cash in his pocket.

Daejujuan Spivey and Tarel Perkins are now each charged with one count of robbery with threat of force. If convicted, each faces up to 15 years in prison.
