NOT GUILTY: Facing a number of charges in connection with a huge drug bust, Brinkley Bridges makes a plea

MILWAUKEE COUNTY (WITI) -- A 46-year-old Milwaukee man, facing a number of drug-related charges following a huge drug bust that occurred on January 29th has pleaded not guilty.

Brinkley Bridges faces the following charges:


    Officers executed simultaneous search warrants at two Milwaukee homes on January 29th -- one near 60th and Clarke and the other near 44th and Villard. Between the two homes, officers seized nearly 3,000 grams of heroin, 23 grams of cocaine, and 421 grams of THC. Officers also seized more than $30,000 in cash and two loaded handguns. The street value of the heroin alone is in excess of $585,000.

    "In my 24 years with the Milwaukee Police Department, this is the largest amount of heroin in one location,"  Milwaukee Police Department Captain Jason Smith said.



    On February 3rd, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office charged Bridges with several crimes in relation to the two seizures.

    Bridges will be in court for a scheduling conference on February 23rd.

    If convicted, Bridges could face more than 90 years in prison.
