Two-vehicle crash near N. 37th and Burleigh; at least one pedestrian struck
MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating a serious crash that occurred near N. 37th and W. Burleigh Street Friday, June 24th.
The incident occurred just before 2:00 p.m.
Witnesses tell FOX6 News three cars were speeding down the street when the crash happened.
Two women were walking down Burleigh, when one of the cars slammed into one of the women and a parked car. The other woman was able to jump out of the way.
Neighbors say speed is a problem in this area.
"It's happening all over the city. You can just sit here and you can see people coming through like they're on an expressway," said Theodore Thompson, neighbor.

The injured woman was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Friends tell us she is expected to be OK.
Authorities have not released any further details.
