Milwaukee police investigate three shooting incidents

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating two shooting incidents that occurred Sunday, September 8th.

Milwaukee police say the first shooting incident occurred near 20th and Mitchell. According to authorities, one person died as a result of the incident.

Police haven’t yet confirmed any details on this incident, but a FOX6 News crew at the scene was hearing a consistent story from neighbors there.

Neighbors told FOX6 News a young man was driving when he was shot. He then lost control of his vehicle and struck another vehicle, before coming to rest.

The front seat of that vehicle was covered at the scene Sunday night.

Neighbors say this is a homicide investigation.

FOX6 News is still awaiting official details from police.

Police were also investigating a shooting in the 1600 block of Union Street. The victim in that shooting was taken to Froedtert Hospital.

The third shooting incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. near 67th and Bobolink.

No additional details have been released -- including the specific circumstances surrounding the shooting or the injuries sustained.
