CUDAHY —The woman who fell while hiking in Sheridan Park on Saturday, October 10th has died, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.
The incident happened around 1:24 p.m. near the lake bank adjacent to the 4800 block of S. Sheridan Drive.
Police say the victim was in her 50s and lost her footing while walking down a dirt path. She suffered a significant head wound after falling about three feet off a ledge.
Police and fire responded to the park and worked to keep her alive until Flight for Life arrived on the scene.
The woman was then transported to a nearby hospital.
The Medical Examiner tells FOX6 News the woman died late Wednesday night, October 14th.
The victim's identity has not been released at this time.
