MILWAUKEE -- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will be performing a utility survey which will have some impacts along I-43 in Milwaukee County.
The work will begin on Monday, November 16th and is expected to be completed by the weeks end. Various lane restrictions and ramp closure will be used to safely complete the survey.
The work will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to minimize traffic disruptions. The current plan will have the following closures:
Day 1
NB I-43 right lane closed from just north of Locust to just north of Capitol.
NB I-43 On-Ramp at Locust CLOSED
NB I-43 Off-Ramp to Capitol CLOSED
Day 2
NB I-43 left lane closed from just north of Locust to just north of Capitol
NB I-43 On-Ramp from Atkinson Ave CLOSED
Day 3
SB I-43 left lane closed from Lexington southerly to Concordia (just north or Ring St Ped Bridge)
Day 4
SB I-43 right lane closed from just south of Glendale Ave southerly to Concordia Ave (just north of Ring St Ped Bridge)
SB I-43 Off-Ramp to 8th St CLOSED
SB I-43 On ramp from 9th St just south of Capitol CLOSED
Day 5
WB Capitol Dr STH 190 left lane closed from just east of Port Washington Rd westerly to N Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Dr.
Motorists are being reminded to allow for slightly longer commute times during this work and to allow for adjustments while ramps are closed. Motorists are also reminded to slow down and drive cautiously in the work zone.
