MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A Milwaukee County committee has received an audit report after last summer's fire at the Milwaukee County Courthouse.
That report shows the electrical fire caused over $19 million in damage. That was paid for by insurance after a $500 deductible -- but there were some additional costs. An old generator needed to be replaced -- costing $100,000, and that money came from a rainy day fund.
The audit also showed there was $439,000 paid out in lost time, as County employees weren't able to come to work after the fire.
