Beer, brats & dirndls: German Fest kicks off at Henry Maier Festival Park

MILWAUKEE -- Beer, brats and dirndls -- it's time for German Fest. Laura hangs at Henry Maier Festival Park kicking off the celebration.

Traffic and parking are a breeze when you ride the Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) straight to the gate of German Fest! MCTS offers two easy ways to German Fest: Shuttle service along Wisconsin Avenue and Freeway Flyers from three park-ride lots.

Festival-goers can catch a Freeway Flyer from the following park-ride lots (see map): Brown Deer East (Brown Deer Road, west of I-43), College (College Avenue, at I-94) and State Fair Park (I-94, S. 76th and W. Kearney Street). Service operates every half-hour approximately on the hour and half-hour. Service is provided during all hours of the festival, beginning a half-hour before the event and ending a half-hour after the event.
