MILWAUKEE -- A woman was tossed in the air like a rag doll after being struck by a car at Oakland and Bradford on Milwaukee's east side Friday afternoon, May 18th, and FOX6 News was there when it happened.
Kathryn Hancock saw the entire mid-day incident on Friday. "Flew up in the air about nine feet and landed and that was it. She had her face down in a pile of blood. That was her condition," Hancock said.
Witnesses recount what the driver did after hitting the woman. Witness Tyler Burger told FOX6 News..."Really angry. Yelling at the person on the ground. 'How could you walk out in front of my car?'" Then Burger said the driver began yelling at bystanders to get out of her way so she could "take off."
"That's ridiculous. Then the car stopped, got out, and said 'Oh yeah I'm just going to park the car I'm not leaving,' and sped away," Hancock said.
Nearby drivers followed the woman in pursuit, while those on the street tried to process what they witnessed.
