Monroe Walton
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- 47-year-old Monroe Walton of West Allis was taken into custody Sunday, January 20th for driving under the influence with a child in the vehicle.
Officials say Walton was taken into custody after a Milwaukee County Sheriff's Deputy stopped him for speeding on southbound US 45 near Hampton Avenue just after 4:30 p.m.
Following the traffic stop Walton was transported to Froedtert Hospital for a blood draw and his children, ages 6, 17 and 20, were taken to the patrol substation where Child Protective Services arranged for their mother to pick them up.
Walton will be charged with OWI-2nd offense with a minor, and operating after revocation/OWI related. His prior conviction was in April 2012.
If convicted, Walton could face up to nine months in jail.
