MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle as they crossed N. Water Street at E. Wells Street Tuesday night, February 5th.
According to police, a 69-year-old Muskego woman and a 60-year-old Franklin woman were struck around 6 p.m. by a Ford Explorer driven by a 71-year-old Milwaukee man.
The 71-year-old man was turning left from eastbound Wells onto northbound Water when the pedestrians were struck while crossing westbound in the crosswalk.
Both pedestrians were injured as a result of the accident and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The 69-year-old Muskego woman was treated for her injuries and released. The 60-year-old Franklin woman continues to be treated for her injuries and is now in grave condition.
The 70-year-old driver was cited for inattentive driving.
