BROWN DEER (WITI) -- Two people were hurt after a collision in Brown Deer on Saturday afternoon, May 10th.
Brown Deer Police Officers and the North Shore Fire Department responded around 3 p.m. to a report of a two car accident in which one of the vehicles involved rolled over and struck a utility pole.
Four adults complained of injuries. But only two of the individuals were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident also damaged a utility pole that carried electrical wires across Teutonia Ave. and had been sheared away from its base -- forcing the closure of both north and southbound traffic on Teutonia Ave.
We Energies responded to repair the utility pole and the road was reopened at approximately 7 pm.
The preliminary investigation indicates alcohol and speed may have been contributing factors in the crash.
