MILWAUKEE COUNTY (WITI) -- He was arrested and charged with hiding a corpse after a "mummified" body was discovered in an apartment in Cudahy, and now, Gregory Prey has been sentenced in the case against him.

The body was discovered on August 13th, 2014 in an upstairs apartment near Kirkwood and Carpenter in Cudahy.
Police say the body found was positioned on its back, likely deceased for several weeks, and in a mummified state. Witnesses told police even though they hadn’t seen the tenant lately, a man was coming and going from the apartment. Police also found numerous cans of air freshener throughout the apartment.
In October, Gregory Prey was charged with one count of hiding a corpse.
On Monday, January 12th, 2015 Prey was sentenced on that charge after pleading guilty.
The court handed down a sentence of five years in prison and five years of extended supervision. Prey has been ordered to have no contact with the victim's family.
