MILWAUKEE COUNTY (WITI) -- 19-year-old Mark Washington has been sentenced in connection with a beer truck robbery in which a man was fatally shot by a Milwaukee police officer.
It happened on January 29th, 2014 near 58th and Villard.

Washington was initially charged with felony murder - armed robbery, but the charge against him was amended to armed robbery.
Washington has been sentenced to five years in prison and three years of extended supervision.
Washington pleaded guilty to the charged of armed robbery filed against him.
Cornelius Turner was fatally shot by a Milwaukee police officer near 58th and Custer.
According to the criminal complaint against Washington, he conspired with the victim, Turner, to rob two men on a beer delivery truck. One of the victims was friends with Washington and Turner (Caleb Seay-Ali).
Police say two suspects were attempting to rob the beer truck drivers. When police arrived, the suspects fled the scene.
Officers caught up with one suspect (Turner), who was armed with a gun in a backyard down the block. That’s when a struggle ensued. Officials say the officer, fearing for his life, pulled out his sidearm and shot Turner. He died at the scene.
The criminal complaint says a woman that police spoke to talked with Washington. He apparently "admitted that he was part of the beer truck driver robbery, and he went with Cornelius Turner to do the robbery."
20-year-old Caleb Seay-Ali pleaded guilty to a felony murder charge in the case.
He has been sentenced to eight years in prison and seven years of extended supervision.
The complaint against Seay-Ali says he was at his first day on the job of a beer delivery truck, January 29th, when he came up with a plan to rob his co-worker, Timmy Davis. Seay-Ali allegedly contacted Turner and another friend (Washington) to help carry out the robbery.
The complaint states that Seay-Ali informed his friends of the truck’s location near 60th and Villard for their last delivery of the day.
