MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The American Red Cross is assisting two families (a total of 10 people) after a fire broke out at a home near S. 6th Street and Mitchell Street on Monday, April 14th.
No one was injured.

The fire was called in around 1:40 p.m. Monday.
The fire broke out inside a 2.5-story wood frame duplex in the 1700 block of S. 6th Street.
Fire officials say six people lived on the first floor.
The fire started on the first floor, and spread out a first-floor window into the rest of the home.
A damage estimate is not yet available.
