WEST ALLIS -- While summer has officially arrived, there is still plenty of room for late sign ups for swim lessons in Milwaukee County. The park district says at last check 50 kids have signed up, with room for dozens and dozens more.
Saturday, June 23rd marked the first day of swim lessons for the county and when Fox 6 visited McCarty Park in West Allis, many level groups only had one participant.
"It's never too late. I can't stress again the necessity to learn how to swim," says Park's aquatic director Jodi Pritzlaff. Pritzlaff explains there are lessons for all age groups including beginning adults.
"Water is every where and dangers of water are real," says Pritzlaff.
To sign up the park district says you simply head over to one of the county pools or head to their website.
