MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating at least four separate shooting incidents that occurred throughout Milwaukee Tuesday night, July 17th. Police say out of the four separate shootings, one fatality occurred.
Around 8:05 p.m. a 35-year-old woman was shot in the 3200 block of N. 26th Street. Officials say the victim was shot during a neighborhood dispute.
Police say the woman is in stable condition and expected to survive. At this time, detectives are interviewing people and seeking suspects.
Authorities say around 9:30 p.m. a 23-year-old man was shot near 24th and W. North Avenue. Police say the man sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Then, about an hour later, a 33-year-old man was shot near 39th and Hampton.
The 33-year-old is in stable condition.
Police say the 24th and North and 39th and Hampton shootings occurred during attempted robberies.
The last shooting took place just before midnight. Authorities say a 32-year-old man was shot in the chest during an argument outside of JJ's Bar, located near 18th and Atkinson. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have not taken anyone into custody at this time in these shootings, and are actively interviewing witnesses to determine the circumstances of the shootings and to develop suspects.
Authorities say these shooting incidents come after a string of violence in Milwaukee. Police say there have been eight confirmed shootings in the city since Monday, July 16th. Three of those shootings were fatal.
