NEW BERLIN -- Police are on the hunt for a man who robbed the Harris Bank branch at 140th and National Ave. in New Berlin on Thursday, August 2nd.
The suspect entered the bank shortly after 3 p.m. He handed the teller a note implying he had a firearm. He got an undisclosed amount of money and took off.
The suspect fled from the bank and jumped into a waiting car.
The suspect was described as a white male, in his 60s, 5’7” in height, with a “stocky” build. He was wearing blue or gray baseball cap, aviator style sunglasses, and had a band-aid on his nose. The suspect was wearing an olive colored T-shirt and khaki shorts.
After fleeing he entered the passenger side of a a red, older model Pontiac Grand AM which was parked in the lot to the business to the west. The suspect vehicle was being driven by a male, white, also believed to be in his 60s. The suspects fled westbound on National Ave., then northbound on 147th Street.
