WAUKESHA COUNTY -- A crash involving a motorcycle took place in the eastbound lanes of I-94 at Sunnyslope Road in Brookfield -- and forced officials to shut down the interstate for about an hour on Tuesday, May 3rd.
Around 6:30 p.m., the all clear was given -- and traffic began to start flowing once again.
At its worst, traffic from this incident was backed up to Highway 18 -- more than three miles.
Officials with the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department say the crash involved the motorcycle and an SUV.
A man operating the motorcycle was taken to the hospital from the scene.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Officials say drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in this incident.
