MADISON -- Back to back $1,000,000 winners in two different Wisconsin Lottery jackpot games have claimed their prizes.
On December 19th a $1 million Powerball ticket was sold in Wausau. That prize has been claimed by Kathryn McGowan of Wausau.
McGowan matched all five regular winning numbers in the December 19th drawing to win her million-dollar prize. After taxes, McGowan received a lump sum payment of $672,500.
The December 19 winning Powerball numbers were 05, 08, 20, 23 and 30, with a Powerball of 03.
One night earlier, on December 18th, a $1 million Mega Millions ticket was sold in Milwaukee.
David Landgraf of Milwaukee matched all five regular winning Mega Millions numbers in the December 18 drawing and would have won $250,000 except he also purchased the Mega Millions Megaplier prize multiplier feature which automatically turns any $250,000 prize into a $1 million winner.
Landgraf also received a lump sum payment of $672,500 after taxes.
The December 18th Mega Millions winning numbers were 01, 06, 07, 18 and 29 with a Mega Ball of 16.
The retailers who sold these $1 million winning tickets earn a $20,000 commission from the Lottery.
The Wausau Powerball ticket was sold by The Store Schierl Sales, 2409 N. Mountain Road.
The Milwaukee Mega Millions ticket was sold by Pick 'N Save, 3701 S. 27th Street.
