"It's a big tent, but it feels like a theater:" Cirque Italia makes its way to Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE -- The Aquatic Spectacular is in town! Better known as Cirque Italia -- the Italian-style circus makes its way to Milwaukee this weekend.

"It's a big tent, but it feels like a theater," said Alex Acero, Cirque Italia performer.

Alex Acero is a fourth generation circus performer.

"We have no animals, so animal-free. We have 35,000 gallons of water, so you will see this stage open and close every 15, 10 minutes of the show. And, it's different, you know? The seating is so close," said Acero.

Close enough to appreciate 18 acts under the big top outside Milwaukee's Italian Community Center.

The acts include Jimmy's Well-Balanced Chairs, Alex's Yo-Yo, and what we're told is one of the top teams of Tandem jugglers in the world -- The Fusco Brothers.

"This is not like my job, this is something that I love," said Emiliano Fusco, The Fusco Brothers.

Emiliano Fusco says he and his brother Max can hardly wait to share their skills with southeastern Wisconsin.

"You work so hard to impress people and see their reaction, you know? So, that's why it makes you really excited about what you do, because they enjoyed it," said Fusco.

Billed as 'family-friendly,' this two-hour performance is both international and interactive, as the acts are available to the audience during and after the show.

"We have people from everywhere -- Brazil, Columbia, South America, Russia, Bulgaria. All the performers go to the main entrance -- you can take pictures with them, you can have the autograph and you can ask questions," said Acero.

Cirque Italia offers seven shows this weekend. Ticket prices start at $10.
