MILWAUKEE -- She is a first grader from Oakfield Elementary -- and received a donated kidney from a teacher at her school. On Thursday, June 2nd, young Natasha Fuller was discharged from Children's Hospital of Wisconsin -- a little more than a week after her surgery.
The following statement was issued by Fuller's family:
Jodi Schmidt, the teacher and donor in this story, went home last Friday, May 27th.
Natasha has been living with her grandparents in Oakfield so she could get the specialized treatment she needed in Milwaukee. Her parents and siblings live in Oklahoma.
