MILWAUKEE COUNTY -- Hales Corners, Greendale, Greenfield and Franklin have all issued temporary open burn and fireworks bans. The ban includes all fireworks like sparklers and caps, but does not include contained grills for cooking food.
Police departments in all four municipalities will strictly enforce the burning ban, issuing citations to violators. Adults who permit the use of any kind of fireworks like sparklers or burning by minors will be cited by police.
All four municipalities say they do plan to go ahead with their 4th of July fireworks displays.
