Fun for families as New Year's Eve celebrated at noon at Betty Brinn Children's Museum

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Families looking for some fun on New Year's Eve hit up the Betty Brinn Children's Museum on Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee.

New Year's Eve was celebrated at noon at the Betty Brinn Children's Museum.

It was a way for families with small children to celebrate the New Year without having to stay up late.

Kids were able to create their own confetti launcher, count down to the big ball drop at noon, and celebrate with dancing and a juice toast.

It's something both kids and parents could be thankful for.

"New Year's Eve is often thought of as a holiday celebration for adults, but here at the Betty Brinn Children's Museum, kids get involved in everything we do. It's a great opportunity for families to celebrate together. We have our hands-on educational exhibits. Kids were enjoying making New Year's Eve hats," Kristen Adams with the Betty Brinn Children's Museum said.

About 1,000 people showed up for the event. It was free with the regular admission price.
