MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- 19-year-old Roberto Rodriguez -- criminally charged in connection with a triple shooting in which three teenagers were injured has reached a plea deal in the case against him.
Rodriguez on Monday, May 19th pleaded guilty to three counts of first degree recklessly endangering safety.
One count of recklessly endangering safety was dismissed.
The triple shooting occurred on Milwaukee's south side on August 26th, 2013.
A 15-year-old, a 16-year-old, and a 17-year-old were shot and wounded.
According to the criminal complaint in this case, this incident started with a game of pickup basketball that somehow led to an argument.
The complaint indicates someone at the scene called Rodriguez because some boys in the neighborhood "had threatened to take over their house and were armed with a gun."
Rodriguez apparently came to the neighborhood -- and that's when the shooting occurred.
When detectives asked Rodriguez about the incident, he initially replied that he did not know why he came to the scene.
But he later said, he "intended to scare the boys" on the court.
Rodriguez remains in custody -- and will be sentenced on July 10th.
