FOND DU LAC CO. -- 25-year-old Clinton Lovelace pleaded not guilty to all charges at his arraignment hearing in a Fond du Lac County court Friday. He's accused of crashing into a group of motorcyclists, killing two Michigan men, on Highway 151 last May.
Lovelace is now charged with 12 felony counts stemming from his alleged involvement in the wreck.
59-year-old Daniel Winsemius, of Twin Lakes, Mich., was killed at the scene. 43-year-old Douglas Yonkers, of Muskegon, Mich., died about a week later at the hospital. Seven of the 10 other motorcyclists were hurt in the crash.
Lovelace's attorney requested a competency evaluation, saying the defendant suffers from amnesia because of head injuries suffered in the crash. The judge granted the request.
Lovelace is set to appear in court next on September 6th.
