GREEN BAY -- Police in Green Bay Tuesday, June 26th brought a car up to the surface from the Fox River. Police say they are not sure how the car got into the water, or how long it was there.
Police say the four-door sedan was found Friday, June 22nd.
Police admit they do not know much else about the car at this point in time, other than that it has Minnesota license plates and has been in the water a long time.
Police also don't know whether there was anyone in the vehicle.
"I don't know. The vehicle has to be processed. If the vehicle's been in there an extended period of time, detectives are going to go through that, go through the dirt and make sure there are no human remains in there," Green Bay Police Lt. Kevin Warych said.
Police are not commenting on the status of any cold cases but say they are already in contact with Minnesota authorities since the car has Minnesota plates.
