CALUMET COUNTY (WITI) -- Calumet County officials are still investigating the death of a young woman found in the backyard of a rural home.
The body of an 18-year-old New Holstein woman was found Friday afternoon by the homeowner.
Deputies have identified her as Monica Batts of New Holstein.
The man who found her did not know her.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused her death.
"She was fully clothed at the time. I'm not prepared to release any further details about the body. We treat all deaths as suspicious until the time the autopsy's finished and we can come up with the cause of death," Calumet County Sheriff's Lieutenant Mark Wiegert said.
An autopsy is planned for Monday.
Sheriff's officials say there is no reason to believe the public is in danger. It is still unclear how the woman got to the home, since no car was found nearby.
