MILWAUKEE -- After another violent weekend in Milwaukee, residents take part in an international peace walk that started right here in Milwaukee on Saturday, May 21st. It's the second annual International Stop the Violence Prayer Walk.
The event was actually founded in Milwaukee in 2015. Saturday, there are 51 cities in the U.S. and 54 countries worldwide that are walking.
In every timezone, the walk started at noon -- bringing each community together. Then at 1:00 p.m., everyone stopped to pray for peace and for victims of violence around the world.

"Violence don't care about your economic structure, they don't care what race you are. Violence affects everyone and today is showing that the world is coming together as one to speak out against violence," said Peace for Change Alliance President, Tracy Dent.
It may not happen in each place that holds the walk, but at least in Milwaukee, a block party was held before and after the walk at King Solomon Baptist Church.
