MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The snow and Winter Storm Warning didn't stop some ambitious Girl Scouts from hosting a Drive-Thru Girl Scout Cookie Booth at Wisconsin State Fair Park on Thursday, February 7th.
The cookie booth ran from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Thursday morning, and continued from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Thursday night.
Despite the snow and slippery road conditions, some brave souls still managed to make their way to State Fair Park to get their hands on the ever popular Girl Scout Cookies!
"The girls are not affected by the snow at all. They are wearing cookie costumes. They’re dancing with signs. They’re super-energized and ready to come fill your cookie orders. They’ll come right up to your car window, grab your order, take your money, give you your change, and then give you your cookies," Sarah Laupan with Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast said.
This year, eight varieties of cookies are available, including the popular Thin Mints, Peanut Butter Patties, Caramel deLites, Lemonades, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Shortbread, Mango Cremes and Thanks-A-Lot.
The Drive-Thru Girl Scout Cookie Booth runs on Friday, February 8th from 6:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and again from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.-- and again on Saturday, February 9th from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Friday, February 8th is National Girl Scout Cookie Day!
