MILWAUKEE -- 48-year-old Michelle Deserio of South Milwaukee was arrested Wednesday, December 26th for fleeing an officer, second-degree recklessly endangering safety and OWI.
According to authorities, police attempted to stop Deserio for speeding and driving without her headlights near S. Howell Ave. around 7:30 p.m.
Officials say Deserio ignored police and accelerated to 65 mph, failed to stop at a stop sign and then attempted to flee the scene on foot.
After the arrest, police recovered an open bottle of Miller Lite and 10 unopened bottles of beer in the vehicle.
Deserio tested .13 on the intoximeter.
Deserior has two prior OWI convictions from April 1998, July 2004 and a pending OWI offense from the week of December 20th. If convicted on that charge, this OWI offense will become a felonly OWI-4th since it occurred within five years of the last convictions.
Deserio faces up to 11 years in prison if convicted on all charges.
