WAUKESHA -- The Wisconsin State Patrol say a 47-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested for OWI — fourth offense early Friday, October 2nd.
It happened at approximately 2:30 a.m. on eastbound I-94, west of Elm Grove Road.
According to officials, a Wisconsin State Trooper assisting construction crews with a lane closure on I-94 observed a vehicle stop in a lane of traffic on the eastbound lanes of I-94. The trooper stopped the vehicle for displaying an unauthorized registration plate.
The driver admitted to the false evidence of registration, drinking a beer, and to having a revoked license. The driver refused to perform a field sobriety test and was arrested for operating while intoxicated, 4th offense.
The driver was transported to Waukesha Memorial hospital for a legal blood draw.
The driver was booked into the Waukesha County Jail for Operating while Revoked related to Operating while Intoxicated and a felony charge of operating while intoxicated -4th offense.
