We Energies works to restore power to customers
MILWAUKEE -- 3,500 We Energies customers remain without power throughout southeast Wisconsin on Friday evening, December 21.
Residents living on N. 53rd St. in Milwaukee were among those affected by the power outages. High winds and heavy snow caused massive damage near the back of some homes. Several trees snapped bringing down power lines with the limbs. They were relieved and thankful to see crews show up in their neighborhood on Friday.
We Energies crews have restored more than 50,000 homes since Thursday morning. The West Bend area, Washington County, and Jefferson County are the hardest hit by the outages.
We Energies is reminding all residents to stay at least 25 feet away from downed or low hanging power lines.
