MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Two shootings on Friday afternoon, August 9th, mark the 23rd and 24th incidences of gun violence this past week in Milwaukee.
A 53-year-old man was shot in the leg around 2:25 p.m. in the 4400 block of N 26th St. His injuries are non-life threatening.
Police do not have anyone in custody in connection with the incident.
A second shooting took place around 5:45 p.m. near 26th and Atkinson. A male in his late teens was shot in the foot during an attempted robbery.
The man was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are looking for a known suspect in this case.
